Frameworks – Struts / JSF / Spring MVC
Middleware or ORM - JPA / Hibernate / EJB
Web services - XML / XSD / XSLT / JAXB / Jersey
DB – SQL server / Oracle / DB2 / MySQL etc.
Application server – Weblogic or Websphere /
JBoss or Tomcat
Configuration Management – Build, package and release
Experience with Ant/MAVEN and CVS/SVN
In depth code reviews and code optimization
Tools and IDE - Eclipse
Static and Dynamic code analysis tools
Low level design capabilities – for 1 or 2 modules
JAVA Design Patterns – Singleton / DAO / Factory / MVC /
Adherence to coding guidelines, standards and best practices
Database concepts – Complex SQL queries, DB interaction, Query Optimization
Skills required
He should have played a Module Lead role for at least 1 development project and 1 maintenance projects
Must have managed team of 2+ members
Must have practical exposure to complete SDLC
Highly communicative and ability to interact with client
High level exposure to High level Design
Ability to mentor & guide junior team members as needed
Effort estimation –at module level
Development methodologies – RUP / AGILE / SDLC
(Good to have)
Exposure to test life cycle – Unit Testing, Integration Testing and UAT
Ability to work on production support and maintenance projects – ticket resolution, SLA etc.,
